A Tale of Two Mirrors
Like most teenager girls when I was younger I worried about my appearance. I often fussed with my makeup and hair and tried to cover up flaws. In the process of getting ready for the day I found that I had two different mirrors in my house. A "good" mirror and a "bad" mirror. One mirror was more flattering in its lighting while the other seemed to highlight flaws instead of minimize them. So I did what I thought any other teenage girl would do. I always chose to look in the bad mirror. I wanted to see the flaws that everyone else could see.

4 truths to help us forgive others.

| Corrie Ten Boom, A holocaust survivor who preached forgiveness. An incredible woman. |
In the past few years I have taken a journey. One where I have enjoyed studying slices of the gospel and examining what I thought were simple principles. It has been a delightful and eye opening experience.
One principle that I set out thinking I knew but realized shortly after that I didn't was "Forgiveness" or "Forgiving others".

The difference between asking questions and apostasy.
With much anxiety I am once again speaking up on recent issues but I feel like my opinion needs to be out there among all of the others. Those who respect this opinion are welcome to share this post but please, as always, know that I know I am still learning...

The Doctrine of Motherhood
Keys and A Doorway
Imagine standing in a room with loved ones, family and friends. There is a doorway in this room that leads to the next life and eternal salvation. One person has the keys but it is up to the rest of us to invite, lead, guide and help others through the doorway. If we are only focused on the keys and not the doorway we will not make it and we will lose opportunities to help our loved ones. The keys offer no additional wealth other than the service they provide. They benefit all of those in the room and all partake of the blessings of the keys even though in this scenario there is only one that holds them.

Kid's Schedule Time
Having 5 boys is not an easy task but having a set schedule makes it much easier.
Here is the schedule that we start our boys with at kindergarten.
We have a picture only schedule that we do before that. It helped me a lot to see what other people were doing before we set ours up and we went through a process trying to figure out what worked best. This works for us.
I put this list in a plastic magnetic picture holder that we put on the fridge and the kids used dry erase markers to check it off. Now they just do if from memory most of the time. It is nice to say "Do your morning schedule." Instead of running through each little thing.
